INTRODUCTION TO DATA PROTECTION IN SPORTS
Course Introduction
The course Introduction to Data Protection in Sports is a four-week open course (every Wednesday two hours online), offered by the Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland.
The course is designed and delivered by recognized experts in this feld. It is being offered as an open online course and can be attended by anyone who is, or aspires to get, involved in the industry of sports – including sports administrators, club presidents, directors, and managers, Legal advisors and consultants specializing in sports law, Medical Staff, IT and Data Management Professionals, Professionals involved in organizing sports events, Athletes and Player Representatives, among others.
Course Content
The course covers specific topics on sport-related issues including an introduction into Data Protection, Key Principles of Data Protection, Legal Framework and Compliance, Managing Personal Data in Sports Clubs and Federations, Data Protection and Technology in Sports, Data Protection Officers (DPO) in Sports Organizations, and other topics.

- Tutorial fees for the whole course: CHF 790 to be paid at least one week before the course starts.

The Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland (ALSS) is an international education institution that offers continuing education, further education, and post graduate advanced education courses, workshops and programs focusing on advanced studies in Leadership and Management. The ALSS also offers short courses that are not credit- bearing, and do not lead to formal qualifications.
