Course Introduction

The course  Introduction to Intellectual Property (IP) in Sports is a four-week open course (every  Thursday two hours online), offered by the Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland.

The course is designed and delivered by recognized experts in this feld. It is being offered as an open online course and can be attended by anyone who is, or aspires to get, involved in  the  industry  of  sports  –  including  sports  administrators, club presidents, directors, and managers, Lawyers, Agents and representatives of athletes, Sports marketers and brand managers, Professionals involved in organizing sports events, media rights negotiators and broadcast partners, among others.

The  course  covers  specific  topics  on  sport-related  issues  including  an introduction into Intellectual Property (IP) in Sports, Trademark and Brand Protection in Sports, Patents, copyrights and broadcasting rights in sports, trade Secrets, and Emerging Issues in Sports IP, Legal Framework and Compliance, and other topics.

The Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland (ALSS) is an international education institution  that  offers  continuing  education,  further  education,  and  post  graduate advanced  education  courses,  workshops  and  programs  focusing  on  advanced  studies in Leadership and Management.
