Course Introduction

This course focuses on the theory and practice of Neuroleadership. It is designed to enable students to understand the foundational concepts and develop the analytical skills needed to be an effective leader in nursing. Students will explore their own leadership, personality and cognitive styles and learn how these may affect the performance of others. The course will focus on experiential projects and exercises as well as provide opportunities to individually reflect and write about the concepts explored and skills gained throughout the course.

The role of Neuroleadership in nursing performance. The process of developing and sustaining Neuroleadership in nursing. The differences between leadership and management. Effective brain-based communications for leaders. Leadership and ethics in nursing. Leadership styles in nursing. Leadership Competencies in nursing. Cultural and gender differences in leadership styles and outcomes. Evidence-based theories of and practices on leadership. The power of Neuroleadership in nursing. The impact of Emotional Intelligence in Neuroleadership

Duration of the Course: 8 weeks (every Tuesday two hours webinar at 18h00 CET)

Study format: 100% online (All programs are delivered fully online, combining weekly live Zoom sessions with structured self-study based on a metacognitive approach. This enables the transfer of scientifically grounded knowledge into practical workplace application. Students receive continuous feedback from professors and are awarded a final cumulative grade upon completion).
Tutorial fees for the whole course CHF 3500 to be paid at least one week before the course starts
Admission Requirements: Anyone who is, or aspires to get, involved in the industry of sports can enrol for this course.
Internet access and an email address are required.

3. A copy of bachelor's degree or the highest degree (Students without a bachelor or other academic degree can be enrolled too, based on their dossier, they must confirm at least two years of working experience).

5. Proof of English fluency: We do not require any formal testing such as the TOEFL but students must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
