Student Achievement Reporting

Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland (ALSS)

Reporting Periods: Academic Year 2025 and Academic Year 2026
Last Updated: 18 August 2026
Review Cycle: At least annually

The Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland (ALSS) is committed to transparent, accurate, and
publicly accessible reporting of student achievement outcomes.

This webpage is the official public location for ALSS student achievement reporting and provides public-
information evidence referenced in the Academy's ACBSP accreditation documentation, including ACBSP
Standard 1 – Leadership, Standard 7 – Business Unit Performance, Table 1.5.E, Table 7.1, Table 7.1.a, and
Section III – Public Information Requirements.

Student achievement information is reported using documented institutional records and, where applicable,
graduate follow-up, surveys, and publicly verifiable scholarly outputs.

Student Population Relevant to ACBSP Reporting

For the current ACBSP accreditation review, ALSS reported:

  • 17 actively enrolled MBA students
  • 4 PhD students
  • 1 BSc student

The MBA program is included in the current ACBSP accreditation scope. The PhD and BSc programs were
launched in 2025 and were reported to ACBSP but are not yet included in the current accreditation scope
because sufficient operating history and outcomes data are not yet available.

Graduation and Program Completion Outcomes – 2025

ALSS monitors graduation and program completion as key indicators of student achievement.

MBA Leadership in International Sports Law

  • Reporting period: Academic Year 2025
  • Graduates reported: 13
  • Institutional graduation benchmark: Minimum graduation rate of 85%

MBA Strategic Neuroleadership

  • Reporting period: Academic Year 2025
  • Graduates reported: 4
  • Institutional graduation benchmark: Minimum graduation rate of 85%

The 85% figure is an institutional benchmark used for monitoring and continuous improvement. The figures
above report the number of graduates documented for the 2025 reporting period.

ALSS academic leadership reviews graduation and program-completion information to identify factors
affecting student progression and to support improvements in academic advising, curriculum delivery,
assessment, and student support.

Student Retention – 2025

For the 2025 reporting period:

  • Institutional retention benchmark: 80%
  • Reported result: The 80% institutional retention benchmark was met.

Retention outcomes are reviewed by ALSS academic leadership and are used to evaluate the effectiveness
of academic-support structures, student advising, faculty engagement, cohort-based learning, and program
delivery.

Employment and Professional Placement – 2025

For the 2025 reporting period:

  • Reported job placement in leadership-related roles: 70%

This measure reflects employment or professional placement in leadership-related roles as documented
through ALSS institutional and graduate follow-up information.

Employment and professional-development outcomes are reviewed to assess the professional relevance of
ALSS programs and to support continuous improvement in curricula, student advising, and career-
development activities.

Student Research and Peer-Reviewed Publications – 2026

ALSS actively encourages students to participate in applied academic research and peer-reviewed scholarly
publication.

For the 2026 reporting period, five different ALSS MBA and PhD students authored or co-authored five
separate peer-reviewed papers published in the Swiss NeuroLeadership Journal (SNJ).

Verified 2026 Publication Results

  • Number of peer-reviewed student papers published: 5
  • Number of different ALSS student authors/co-authors represented: 5
  • Reporting year: 2026
  • Publication venue: Swiss NeuroLeadership Journal (SNJ)
  • Publisher: Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland (ALSS)
  • Public journal issue: Vol. 1 No. 1 (2026), Inaugural Issue
  • Issue publication date: 12 May 2026

The five publications represent research contributions from five separate ALSS students, demonstrating
measurable student engagement in research and scholarly dissemination.

Public evidence of publications:

These publication outcomes are monitored as part of ALSS's student achievement and continuous quality-
improvement framework and provide publicly verifiable evidence of student research activity.

Institutional Research-Publication Objective

ALSS has established the following student achievement objective:

  • Target: At least 30% of students publish or co-author a peer-reviewed journal article prior to graduation.

For 2026, ALSS has verified that five different students authored or co-authored five peer-reviewed papers.
Because the five student contributors include students from both the MBA and PhD programs, ALSS reports
the verified number of distinct student authors and publications separately and does not present the five
publications as proof that the 30% MBA-specific target has been achieved unless the applicable cohort
denominator supports that calculation.

This distinction ensures transparent reporting between institutional targets, verified student participation,
peer-reviewed publication outputs, and percentage-based achievement measures.

Student Achievement Measures

ALSS monitors student achievement using indicators including:

  • graduation and program completion
  • student retention
  • employment and professional placement
  • student research and peer-reviewed publication
  • student progression
  • professional development
  • other relevant program-level outcomes

Data Reporting Methodology

Student achievement information published by ALSS is based primarily on documented institutional
academic records and, where applicable, graduate surveys, direct graduate follow-up, program records,
verified publication records, and publicly accessible scholarly evidence.

For each reporting cycle, ALSS seeks to document:

  • the applicable reporting period
  • the relevant academic program
  • the student or graduate cohort included
  • the number of students or graduates included
  • the denominator used where percentage calculations are reported
  • the definition of the reported student-achievement measure
  • the source of the data
  • the data-collection method
  • the date of the most recent update
  • the institutional office responsible for maintaining the information

ALSS distinguishes clearly between institutional targets and verified achieved results. Data that have not yet
been completely collected and verified are not presented as confirmed outcomes.

Use of Results for Continuous Improvement

Student achievement results are reviewed by ALSS academic leadership as part of the Academy's
continuous quality-improvement process.

The results are used, where appropriate, to inform:

  • curriculum review and refinement
  • student advising
  • academic support
  • assessment processes
  • faculty coordination
  • program delivery
  • career-development initiatives
  • student retention activities
  • research development and publication support
  • institutional planning

This process ensures that student-achievement information is not only collected and publicly reported but
also used to support evidence-based institutional improvement.
